It’s weird that the show claims Ms Bustier tried to help Chloe …

…yet all she did was tell Marinette that she needed to be a “good example” for Chloe to learn from as if it’s her job as class rep to guide her with her issues, not Madame Bustier's.

Now there’s nothing wrong with Marinette helping Chloe change, but claiming that Bustier tried to help  Chloe by having somebody that she hates (for reasons unknown) do the work for her is like sating Chloe tried to do her homework by making Sabrina do it.

Here's a fun little story related to this ask.

Before I started this blog, I went to college to learn to become a teacher. I dropped out thanks to complications from the pandemic, but I still managed to complete two years. One of the introductory education classes I took had a lecture on ways to treat students. The professor said that a teacher shouldn't single out any students in a positive or negative way, meaning you can't put someone on a pedestal or be extra strict to someone.

In other words, something Ms. Bustier does that was depicted as a sign she's a great teacher is one of the first things I was told NOT to do when learning to be a teacher.

Miraculous Ladybug and AO3 Character Bashing Stories:

So, I have talked about this here, but I am a fan of Miraculous Ladybug. Have been since the COVID pandemic. Not a die hard fan, but I do watch all the episodes and love to see fan content about it.

One of the things that first caught my eye when I ventured into the AO3 side of the fandom was the amount of character bashing fics. So many characters get the bashing, and found myself reading a couple for some characters. Not as much as I used to during the pandemic and the year after the vaccine came out, but ever once in a while.

So, I did some research and made a list of how many bashing fics does this character get. I have gathered the most prominent ones that I have seen and searched how many stories each one has.

And here are the results (as of Feb. 5th, 2025):

I will never understand why the show wants us to think that Bustier coming up with this new school program is really amazing and totally not a terrible idea that will worsen the education system even more

It's just so dumb how she removes classes and grades for the sake of letting the kids teach each other about what they want to do in life despite the fact that IT'S NOT THEIR GODDAMN JOB, I know it sounds selfish to say but if I can't find my shit in life why on the fuck of the earth will I be of any use to others in finding their own path????

And that's not even getting into how University is going to work in this new program, because how the hell will the kids find their professions, careers and jobs when the grading system is completely nonexistent

Regardless of whether or not you give Chloe a redemption arc in your fanfics, Chloe should always among the characters who raises their hands when someone asks for ideas, only for Chloe to be among the people who has to put their hand back down when the idea-asker specifies "that DON'T involve murder."

Scenario 1- AU where Chloe gets an actual redemption arc and remains Queen Bee

Ladybug: in light of Rena Rogue's research suggesting Hawk Moth may be Gabriel Agreste, do any of you have any ideas on how to go about investigating this theory or reclaiming the butterfly and peacock miraculous in the event of the theory turning out to be true?

Ladybug: ...that DON'T involve murder?

Scenario 2- AU where in season 5, instead of melting all of the stolen miraculi into rings that transfer power to akuma, Gabriel instead hands otu the stolen miraculi is lackeys, including Chloe, who assists the various akumas.

Mr. Pigeon: thank you all so much for coming to assist me. Unfortunately, one can only be akumatized so many time before running out of fresh ideas. DO any of you have any suggestions regarding how to give Paris to the pigeon or taking Ladybug and Chat Noir's miraculous?
